Thanks for joining us! Now that you’re signed up, you can head to the Member Services desk at any of the three Co-op locations to get your Upper Valley Compost Company bucket and start composting!
You’ll also receive an email from us within the next day or so with more details. In the meantime, here’s the rundown:
All three Co-op locations have Member Services desks. The folks staffing these desks have a list of current subscribers and will direct you to the shed where buckets are kept. You’re now all set to exchange your bucket once a week for a clean, empty bucket during normal Co-op business hours.
The exchange may take place on any day of the week, but remember that your subscription covers one exchange per week– no more. You’re under no obligation to exchange the bucket every single week, but you can’t exchange it more frequently than once a week. Exchanges do not carry over—“unused” weeks don’t count towards future exchanges.
All food scraps can be put into your compost bucket with the Compost dropoff service- including meat, dairy, bones, and shellfish shells! For more information, please check out our list of compostable and non-compostable items, or contact us directly.
